HOPE CAN BE TAUGHT

School districts and state agencies to Fortune 500 companies and faith-based organizations have benefited from the science and power of hope. Many strategic trainings focus on reducing what’s wrong in an organization. We focus on building what’s right.

Chan Hellman, Ph.D. and the Hope Centered organization provide both in-person and virtual trainings to organizations, agencies and municipalities in the United States and abroad. Dr. Hellman adapts and customizes both keynotes and in-depth trainings to each organization or audience.

In-Depth Hope Centered Training

After introducing the concept of hope, organizations may begin in-depth training to equip staff, front-line workers and leaders with the tools needed to increase hope in both themselves and stakeholders, resulting in lower employee burnout and overall client outcomes. The Hope Centered curricula offers various options – which can each be customized to an organization’s needs.

  • Three to six-hour training introducing the science of hope, the framework for becoming a hope centered organization, and benefits to organizations (e.g., reduced burnout/ turnover, increased well-being and job satisfaction). Participants identify areas of focus for Hope Navigators to focus their strategic implementation efforts.

  • Three- to four-hour training introducing the science of hope and strategies to improve goal setting, pathways development, and willpower in the employee’s personal and professional lives.

  • Through this 12-hour training over two days, participants gain a deeper understanding of hope through reviewing the published research and hope’s connections to the field of positive psychology. Hope Navigators learn how hope provides a framework for creating a hope centered organization and develop a specific strategic implementation plan for their organization. The focus is on creating strategies for change in policy, practice, and/or structures to improve staff and client wellbeing. Hope Navigators have ongoing structured meetings to create a community of practice as they implement their hope centered strategies.
